Message	after troubleshooting- i found that short is occurring only when door lock is in the unlocked position. when door is locked, all works fine- as soon as i unlock, fuse blows. only on driver's side, passenger side has no effect. i disconnected the white harness on the door that controls this. i followed the wire and it goes into the metal shell of the door. is there another part in there that may be going bad or shorting? does this harness only control the auto door locking mechanism? i also see a bunch of wires going to the right of the handle that is bundled up- wondering if there is a short in there from the installers possibly messing with the wires? in any case, almost there- a few more tips, i should be able to figure this out. thanks for all of your help so far!
